This book was originally published in the United States in 1953 with the title 'Of Sacraments and Sacrifice'. This, in turn, was a compilation of articles written for a US magazine entitled 'Worship'. The edition on this Website was published in England in 1962 for the British and Irish market. It includes some updating of the 1953 book.

Before first placing the book on the Internet (about 2000), I had correspondence with the publisher - The Catholic Social Guild, Oxford - to enquire about copyright issues. They replied that they were not aware that they had been the publisher. So, I decided to go ahead and upload the book in HTML (*.htm) format. Now, I have PDF versions on this website instead.
